When: October 19th and 20th 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday)

Where: Van Meter High School

What: A sports festival featuring former athletes and coaches from Iowa, Iowa State, UNI and Drake. In addition, celebrities from all walks of sports life in Iowa and several national sports legends will be on hand to sign autographs. Other highlights include: auctions, collectibles, pack war games and sports seminars.

Admission: Adults - $5.00; Seniors and Children (5-12) - $3.00; Children under 5 - Free

Our Sports Fest Autograph Line-up To Date!

Come see some Iowa State Cyclones led by 4-time NCAA champion, Cael Sanderson, former wrestling coach, Jim Gibbons and former ISU quarterback and KXNO air talent, John Quinn. In addition, former Iowa head wrestling coach and 1972 Olympic Gold Medalist, Dan Gable, will be on hand. These are just some of the names you'll be able to see at the Pride of Iowa Sports Fest........more names to come from around the state (Iowa, Drake and UNI) in the near future.

In addition, Ralph Kiner, former baseball great with the Pirates, Cubs and Indians will be on hand as well. Kiner led the National League in homers for seven consecutive years (1946-1952). He was inducted into the National Hall of Fame in 1975 and is currently the play by play man for the New York Mets, a position he has held since 1962.
